Nomadic Media tries to find solutions that allow consumers to enjoy their content and use interactive services at the times and in the places they prefer, using the devices that best meet their circumstances.
The ambition is to reduce restrictions imposed by platforms and devices for the user, who wishes to use content and services, where and when (s) he wants. We also aim at systems that adapt more readily to users personal preferences, are enjoyable to use and provide low entry thresholds for all sections of society.

The Nomadic Media Project is an ITEA (Information Technology for European Advancement) project, financed by the Public Authorities of the participating companies, institutes and universities. The project addresses several technology issues in the ITEA 'Technology Road/ map on Software Intensive Systems' and is a 2-year project that will run until the end of June 2005.
