The objective of the SMASH project is the development of Storage for Multimedia Application Systems in the Home and the evaluation of the usage of such system in a trial setup. The project has been carried out from September 1995 until August 1998 by a European consortium of industries and universities, and was sponsored by the European Union under the ACTS-project programme as project AC018.
