SMASH also identified some interesting projects which cover possible common areas of interest. Our prime reason of listing these projects is that we aim to exchange ideas and investigate whether further intensified cooperation (e.g. in a delivery chain) is required.

The verification of the developed SMASH technologies and applications is a very important aspect of the project. Suitable trial experiments can only be done after a SMASH prototype system has been developed and finalized. The plan is to start a trial experiment during the second phase of the project. During this phase some SMASH proptotypes will be built and their functions will be verified in areal consumer home environment.
It is one of the important tasks of SMASH Workpackage 400 (analysis of important storage applications and development of some important spplications) to define and develop the SMASH trial. During the first Audit the project will be able to present the first results of this work. Consequently, issues on `Experimental Facilities' can only be addressed at that time.
