Ronald M. Wolf has a PhD in Chemistry and Physics and joined Philips Research in 1990 as a research scientist focusing on advanced materials based device research. In 1995 he moved to the Philips Research Labs in Briarcliff, US, initiating miniaturisation efforts in the field of magnetic power devices. In 1999 he became Research Director and subsequently headed several research groups within Philips Research.

Currently he is Senior Business development manager in the Philips Research Strategy and Business Development office focusing on new technology based new business creation.
